Pretty Little Studio and Love My Tapes Blog Hop!!

Hello and welcome to the Pretty Little Studio and Love My Tapes Blog Hop! We are combining forces and sharing  projects highlighting Pretty Little Studio whimsical goodness paired with the versatility and trendiness of Love My Tapes.

During the Blog Hop, you will be visiting blogs from both Pretty Little Studio and Love My Tapes Design Team members. We promise to bring you a hop FULL of inspiration and creativity.

And what’s a Blog Hop without giveaways? Be sure to visit all the blogs, including the Pretty Little Studio and Love My Tapes blogs for a chance to win some PLS and LMT goodies! When visiting the Design Team member’s blogs, be sure and leave comments because many of the Design Team members will also be hosting their own Blog Hop giveaways.

The Hop will start on the Pretty Little Studio blog and end on the Love My Tapes blog, so head on over to the Pretty Little Studio blog if you are just joining in. We will announce the winners of the PLS and LMT giveaways on May 3rd, so be sure to be watching for the announcements.
So let’s get hopping!

Now, you should have just arrived here from Annette's blog. No, that's not a typo. There are two Annettes in this hop! Annette Allen's blog should have been your last stop before arriving here. Just in case you get lost or confused, I've posted the entire lineup at the bottom of this post.

Many times when I make a project for a blog hop or even a regular design team post, I'm not making it anyone specific. Often, it sits in my pile of cards and other stuff waiting to be given to some deserving recipient. Not this time. I made this card for the hop, but more importantly, I will be giving it to my daughter who turns five next week. She loves princesses, animals and cupcakes. This card has all of that and more!!

Here is the front view:

I love interactive cards and I think my daughter likes them, too. She can't read yet (although she's starting). An interactive card gives her a chance to enjoy it without having to read the words. Last year, I made her a wheel card. This year, she's getting a pop-up card.

Here is the inside of the entire card.

A little closer view of the cute animals. They are celebrating her birthday with her!

Thought you might want a little behind the scenes look at how I got the images to pop up.

And here is a picture of the lucky recipient. (Isn't she cute?!)
Your next stop is Ashley. She has not one, not two, but three projects for you!! Don't forget to leave a comment on everyone's blog! We love your feedback.

Stop and Smell the Daisies!

Well, today I got to make my first post for the Eyelet Outlet. I am so thrilled. I love their brads. Here is the card I made. More details are on the Eyelet Outlet blog.

Want a closer look? Here is an image of the flowers and bees. Aren't they cute? The best part is the bees don't sting and the flowers won't make allergy sufferers sneeze!!

Enjoy your day. I hope it's nice!! Oh, and thanks for looking!

Hot Pink and LIghtning Yellow? Yes, Please!!

First of all, let me apologize for not updating my poor blog for a couple weeks. I've actually made and posted a few projects for design teams, but with end of school activities, upcoming birthday parties and just life in general, I don't always get around to posting them on my own blog.

But, not today.

Today I am sharing a project I made for A Jillian Vance Design using a sketch from Cardmaps and pairing it with the fabulous color inspiration from A Playdate Cafe, where I am participating in the latest challenge. I absolutely love the inspiration photo. I love bold, vibrant colors.

Not only was I inspired by the colors, but so many elements in the photo can be found in my card. The black and white chevrons, the geometric shapes, and the round doilies all make an appearance in my card.

Hitting the Runway Again

Hi gang. I don't know if you saw my good news. I'm on another design team. It has been my dream to design for this company. I absolutely love their products. I'm talking about the Eyelet Outlet.

They have the cutest brads. I already own several and I'm excited to see what other adorable goodies I'll get. I can't wait to start playing with them.

In the meantime, I've been playing with some other goodies, including flair from my friend Bossy Joscie. I created this card for the Runway Inspired Challenge 33. Here is the inspiration photo and below is my card.

I came across this map paper as I was digging through my stash and immediately noticed it was the same colors as the RIC photo. Then, remembering that Joscie was sponsoring it, I dug through my stash of her flair and found this yellow bicycle. I love how it all just came together.

Thanks for visiting. See you next time.
