Go Bucks Collage Art

I tried something new the other day. I was inspired by my newI friend Tina Walker, who made this cool Owl Canvas.  I had a small canvas in my stash. I bought it a few months ago, but hadn't done anything with it yet. After reading Tina's post, I had to try my hand at a canvas collage.

My son is a huuuuuge Buckeyes fan - just like the rest of his family. I wanted to create something special for him to hang in his room. This is what I came up with:

It's not as fantastic as Tina's work, but I'm a newbie, so please go easy on me! I am happy with it, and more importantly, my son is thrilled with it.

Tonight, our beloved Bucks are playing in the Sweet 16. I hope they make it to the Elite 8!! Go Bucks!!

Shhh ... I'm going to share my secret now

It's Saturday, which means I can finally share my exciting news. I am on the Love My Tapes design team as the DT coordinator. I am so excited for the opportunity to create with their products.

I am a washi tape fiend. I love it. There are so many fun things you can do with it. I can't wait to share all the fun creations I concoct and see the creations of my fellow DT members. By the way, these ladies are fabulous. I checked out all their blogs and I am blown away I know you will be inspired.

Here is a card I made with Love My Tapes products I already had in my stash. I thought Hello seemed appropriate since I am saying hello to a new position and some new faces.
Supplies used include:
  • Washi tape and fabric tape from Love My Tapes
  • Stamps from A Jillian Vance Design
  • Ink from Memento and Stampin' Up!
  • Silhouette electronic cutter

March Madness!!

Those of you who know me well don't need to be told that I am a huuuuuge Ohio State fan. I live in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio. If you're not a Buckeye in this town, you're pretty much nobody. I also graduated from Ohio State. I have to be true to my alma mater.

I am thrilled that the Bucks made it to the Sweet 16. The big day is upon us. Will we make it to the Elite Eight? I really hope we do. Our football team went through a rough time thanks to a few past players who made some bad choices. Maybe our basket ball team can redeem us!

I made this card to show my support for the team. I doubt they'll see it. I can't imagine any OSU basketball players follow my blog, but if they do, well, then GO BUCKS!! Beat Arizona!

The basket ball net made from twine was not easy to do. I will do a tutorial and post it later. I had to tie lots of knots! Here are the products I used.

WOW!

Hi folks! The Runway Inspired Challenge has been posting some super fun inspiration photos lately. I am giving it a try this time. The inspiration is courtesy of Moschino. Don't you just love that big question mark? She looks like she's ready for a night on the town with The Riddler! Ha ha ha. Anyway, I took my cue from that, but instead of the question mark, I chose another type of punctuation - the exclamation point! I used the same colors - the black with sparkly punctuation and hot pink below.

Because I used an exclamation point, I had to choose an appropriate sentiment. "I'm sorry" or "Thinking of you" aren't really exclamatory remarks, but "WOW!" is!! I can't even write the word WOW! without putting an exclamation point behind it. See what I mean? Let me try it again. WOW!. Nope, can't do it. Those three letters must be followed by an exclamation point. LOL!

Well, I hope when you see my entry you'll say to yourself "WOW!" Thanks for looking! If you want to play, go to the Runway Inspired Challenge and enter your project. You have until March 29.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Top o' the mornin' to ya' lads and lasses and have a happy St. Patrick's Day. I'm not Irish and I usually don't make a big deal out of St. Patrick's Day, but it sure is fun to make a card with a leprechaun hat! LOL!

I "drew" this whimsical hat with my Silhouette software. The stamp is from A Jillian Vance Design Charming Occasions set.

I wish you a lucky day full of rainbows and pots of gold!
